Wow.  The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures; Expanded Edition by Dan Roam is fantastic.  Roam explains his ideas excellently and walks through each step of using pictures to solve problems.  Everyone should read this book.

  1. I never read this entire book, but I did a paper on it for my undergrad. I've always thought that it's an interesting concept, and when it comes to presentations pictures are always better than words. It gets information across in a universal language. However, I sometimes feel sad, especially when I worked at Barnes to know that sometimes I feel that pictures have replaced words. Everyone knows that words are one of the most amazing things in the history of the world, and it's sad to see that people have such small attention spans that make pictures more universal than words.
